Ep87 • WHy is The North Face so Misunderstood?

LISTEN: APPLE | SPOTIFY | YOUTUBE

Sponsored by VKTRY Insoles + PATH Projects.

I asked the Borderlands community what they thought about The North Face brand in relation to its trail running products.

I assumed the feedback would be mostly favorable, as the brand has a strong trail running team featuring athletes like Zach Miller, Katie Schide, Rob Krar, and more.

So, I was surprised when the feedback came back mostly negative.

Taylor Bodin (lead trail reviewer for BelieveintheRun.com) and Josh Rosenthal (of Borderlands) dive in to explore The North Face brand, why we think the negative sentiment exists, and why it feels mostly misguided.

Expect to learn about the history of North Face in trail running, the reason shoes have a drop, and a lot more gear geekery.
